Dave Clapper

Dave Clapper was a part of Northwestern University’s 1986 Mee-Ow Show, Oedipuss ‘N’ Boots, both on campus and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He then left improv behind until 2009, when he took Wing-It’s Performance Series class. Since returning to the stage, Dave has appeared in 14/48 at Theatre off Jackson and at ACT; Rudolph: The Next Verse and Quiz Show at Wing-It; CIU: Criminal Improv Unit Seattle at Unexpected Productions; The Fortune Room at Little Red Studio; various shows with Being Humans; and, of course, Interrobang?! Improv’s own Interrobang Anonymous and open-format shows. He also coordinates monthly improv mash-ups for experienced improvisers at Odd Duck Studio, and is one half of the duo, Pearl and Morty Save Your Marriage. Favorite non-improvised roles over the years have included Rooster in Annie, Cootie in Moonchildren, and Ralph in Bouncers. Dave is ever grateful to his partner, Ellen, for her support, patience, and love; and to his sons, Cam and Zach, for loving their dad (and improv).

You can find him blogging about improv (and other things) at An Hour of Play.
